WiNGSPANTT interviewed for new “True Assassins of Multiplayer” feature
Last week, I had the pleasure of speaking to the Assassin’s Creed multiplayer team. But instead of the typical setup where I beg them for information about ability changes and design decisions, Ubisoft had questions for me (yes, me!) about my YouTube exploits and a little ol’ site called Top Tier Tactics.
While long-time fans will probably be able to guess many of my answers, I still had a few wildcards up my sleeve. And the interview was the perfect spotlight for my latest video about the merits of Black Flag’s multiplayer gameplay.
Read the full interview (yes, reading is required) at the new Assassin’s Creed 4 community site and let me know what you think. Here’s hoping this feature becomes a staple and we get to see interviews with other, slightly less important members of the AC4 universe.
Very cool. Nice job, Wing!
“but they tend to be single-player walkthrough’s. ”
“It seem’s your hard work has paid off.”
PROFESSIONALS.
Anyway. Lovely interview. Should help both sides, further boosting us as well as (hopefully) teaching some newer players to STOP RUNNING AROUND. Why don’t you run all the time when it oh so conveniently forces your pursuer into 100 point kills? Because you’ll pass a certain chase breaker, and I’ll be there to stab you!
I have to admit, the changes in scoring really set a message. Choosing between 50 or 900 and more points should make some players think. As soon as they stop blocking me by taking the 50, that is.
I love when someone runs around and finally decides to kill me and gives me more points for the contested stun (100) than they got for the kill (50-75).
The thing is, that still leaves you waiting in respawn while the one other experienced player scores her ass off. Of course, there’s not much you can do without any abilities and with targets literally running in a circle around the map at all times.
Ah, new lobbies. There’s this weird bell curve, where lobbies score really low among new players, really high in the midrange, and again low among really experienced ones. After all, the TTT tournament was decided by 25 points!
And then there’s those times when you’re in sixth and the game gives you four pursuers for no reason whatsoever.
I love this too. Or hell, just throw Disruption on them and LOL at their Determined perk.
Awesome Wing! ;D
